Walk at Cedar Cliff Forest Preserve

July 29 @ 7:30 am - 9:00 am

Join Sinnissippi Audubon as we welcome Colin Dobson to the Rockford region on Saturday, July 29th. Colin will begin the morning by leading a walk with us at Cedar Cliff Forest Preserve. Then from 12-3pm he will be signing his new book at Maze Books in Rockford, Illinois. An avid Illinois birder, Colin has seen over 385 species of birds over the past decade in IL. He has earned 6 Illinois Big Years. Colin recently authored a book about hotspots and birds in Illinois, “Field Guide to Hotspots and Birds in Illinois” and also co-authored a book about birding in Illinois, “A Guide to Finding Birds Along the Illinois River Flyway”. Cedar Cliff features 60-foot high limestone cliffs that extend 800 feet along the Rock River. The former farmland is being restored to short grass prairie habitat. It is also the location where a portion of Bell Bowl Prairie has been transplanted.
This is FREE event and all levels of birders are welcome to attend this walk!
