Sinnissippi Audubon is partnering with Rockford MakerSpaceto offer a family birdhouse building workshop.
The workshop includes all tools and materials needed to assemble a wren house. Wrens begin to arrive in late-March to mid-April. The males will begin to build nests to attract a female shortly after arriving, so now is the time to create a home for them!
A representative from the Sinnissippi Audubon will be present to share information about our local wrens (House, Marsh, Carolina, Winter, and Sedge) as well as provide guidance on how to place and maintain your birdhouse.
Age 7+ recommended; children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and drills will be used. Cost = $8
Tours of Rockford MakerSpace will also be available.
If the class is full, please add yourself to the waitlist (those on the waitlist will be given priority should we hold additional workshops).
